December Information

We hope everyone had a fun, restful Thanksgiving break!  Please sure to keep reading every night!  Your child should also be practicing their sight words and counting to 100.  Winter break will be here before we know it!  Enjoy the time with your family!!!

Here are some dates to remember this month:

December 24-31- No School


In reading this month we will be retelling familiar stories.  We will read different versions of The Gingerbread Man.  We will also answer questions using non-fiction books.

In math we will be measuring length and weight with cubes.  We will also continue to work on recognizing numbers and counting to 100.  We will use the hundreds chart and number lines to recognize 1 more/1 less.

In science we will learn about the needs of living things.  We will also learn about animal life cycles and the differences between adult and baby animals.

In social studies we will be learning about maps.  We will also talk about human made features.
